About The Artist
In 1992 I moved to Paris for three years where I completely fell in love with art, painting and painters.
On return to the UK I embarked on a six year University education from foundation , degree and teacher training and emerged with many qualifications including a First Class Honours degree in Fine Art.
My graduation year hit the ground running when we exhibited at the London Design Centre Islington - our first public show and real selling venue. The dye was cast and thence followed a whirlwind of the exhibitions such as
The Affordable Art Fair Battersea,
Cork Street Gallery,
Christie’s Charity Art Event,
Contemporary Art Fairs ( Surrey, Windsor and Reading) and
Fresh Art Fair Cheltenham to name just a few.
My Inspiration
I was partly brought up in Cornwall and found there my deep love of the sea, the ever changing and beautiful skies and the endless beaches.
In my adult world I am now an avid sailor and walker and I love watching the dramatic skies at sea and memories of running down to beach excited with anticipation.
The stunning flowers in the hedgerows, both in England and Europe where I walk a lot, give me the inspiration for my work too, and I strive to convey in the joy and happiness we all find in these places.
